New School Year

Hey Everyone!! It's me, Joy. School started back up 2 weeks ago, and I have been loving it. I am in High School now, which is a lot different than middle school. For one thing, their is way more people at the High School then their is at the Middle School. And the school is WAY bigger. But I am happy because My friends, Addi, Charlotte, and Hannah are each in one of my classes. (Addi in Spanish, Charlotte in Bio, and Hannah in History.) It is nice to see some familiar faces. Oh, and if you haven't noticed, I took the music off here. (It was getting kinda annoying.) :) Anyway, I guess that is it for now! Thanks for reading!!! ~Joy

Joy

If you havn't noticed, I put some music on my blog. If you think the songs are a little-strange, look at the names of them. Notice anything simalar about them??? Well, I will give you a hint. Actually, I will tell you. All the songs have my name in it! haha get it??

Ode to Joy
Joy To the world
Joy Down in my heart
Joy of Mans Desireing

lol! I thought that was kind of clever. :) Anyway, this post is about my name, Joy. Well, actaully, my real name is Anna Grace Britten. But, my nickname is Joy. And I will tell you how I got that name.

When I was a baby, everyone called me by my first name, Anna. My grandmothers name was Anna, so they, (my parents) named me after her. Well, when I was about 6 months old, my mom bought me a cd with a bunch of childrens bible songs on it.

Joshua fought the Battle of Jerico,
Go Down Moses,
The B-I-B-L-E,
Jesus loves me,
Only a boy named David,

Songs like that. Well, I guess I had a favorite. And it was called, "Down in my Heart" Whenever my mom would play that song, I guess I would start laughing and smiling. So, my older sister, Hope, who was about 4 at the time told my mom, "You should just call her Joy!" So, it kinda stuck. Mom, Dad, and Hope started calling me a nickname, "the Joy in Anna" But then soon, the "the" and "in" went away. And soon, everyone knew me by my new nickname, "Joy".

Some people still call me Anna. Like my neighbor, Mr. Mckay, (he is this really old guy that is always forgetting things) He calls me Anna all the time. I don't know why. But he dose. But I don't mind. :)

I like the name Joy. I think I look more like a Joy then an Anna. But well, I'm not sure if that is for me to decide.

Thanks for reading!!!!

Dear Journal,

Right now, I'm sitting in the back room of my mom's bookstore. It's a rather small room. Their are some bookshelves on the back wall, full of old books that aren't for sale. In the center of the room, their is a desk with a laptop on it. (That's where I am right now) There are also other office things on the desk. Like, Markers, tape, paper, pens, a price gun, stuff like that. And in the front of the room, their are boxes of books that haven't been catalogued yet. They are five rather large boxes. Their is something written on the side of them, but I haven't read it.

Mom just came in the room and gave me a ten dollar bill, and asked me to go to the fast food restaurant next to the store and get both of us lunch. So, now I have to go. I will write more later.

A Girl Named Joy.

Hello Everyone!

It's Sammy here! From sammysleuth.blogspot.com and sammysreviews.blogspot.com
As you may, or may not know, I want to be a writer when I grow up. And I have had a story in my head for the past 3 years. It's about a girl named Joy. I have written about many things that happen to her. She is a PK, (Pastor's Kid) And her mother owns a book store called Britten's Books. (Britten is her last name) She has an older sister named Hope, and a younger sister, which her parents adopted, named Corine. She is a sweet Chirstian girl, with a normal life. Her best friends include, Addison, who is a year older than Joy, but are really good friends.
Charlotte and Hannah, Joy's Twin Friends who are like Joy's Sisters
Jessa, Joy's Mother's Friend's daughter. Joy used to not like her very much, but soon became good friends.
Lily, Joy's cousin who's parents are Missionarys in Ireland.

One day, I would love to get my writing published. And so hopefully soon, I will have an actual copy of Joy's storys. On this blog, I am going to talk about Joy, and her family, and friends. But please do not copy this story idea. It is concitered stealing. I have worked very hard on thease storys, and I don't want someone else to take credit for them

Thank you all for understanding, I am looking foward to posting on here.
